About Us
Throughout history, the role of arts patron has been traditionally played by the monarchs, popes and sovereigns. Today, the typical arts supporter is a business professional who recognizes that our cultural assets are crucial to our strengthening economic development, community sustainability and human relations. Business leaders understand that a successful city for both business and quality of life has an infrastructure that includes the arts.
The Nashville Business Committee for the Arts was formed in 2006 to ensure that Nashville remains a vibrant and flourishing arts community. This not-for-profit organization is an affiliate of the national Business Committee for the Arts, formed in 1967 by David Rockefeller. We hope to inspire and stimulate the business community to support the arts in the workplace as well as in the community.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Nashville Business Committee for the Arts is to foster and build partnerships between business and the arts that are mutually beneficial and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the Greater Nashville Region.
